The idea for UpsideDown Press began decades ago when editor Christy Eckerle’s church struggled to find good small-group curricula. They found many options tailored for large congregations with big budgets. They found a few cheap or free options—poorly written, mostly. (They made do with what they could afford, and they thrived.)

But Christy thought it odd for religious publishers to be driven by profit. She began to dream of making resources available to God’s people. And, after years of working in the traditional publishing industry, and after getting married and having two children, she launched UpsideDown Press.

Our catalog is small, but it’s growing. We’re developing devotionals, homeschool curricula, small-group curricula, marriage and parenting books, and even storybooks. We dream of making high-quality resources freely available to all of God’s people, no matter their income.
